Floor Preparation

Within the flooring industry there is a saying "your floor is only as good as the preparation work underneath". It could not be more true! We offer a variey of services to help you achieve this. We use the biggest names such as F.Balls, Uzin, Laybond and Tremco. These manufacturers offer a free on-site service to all our customers to ensure the correct products are laid to create a perfect floor finish.

Damp Proof Membranes

As per British Standards floors should not be laid when the moisture levels exceed 75%rh. As clients usually want a speedy finish to a project, we can offer a surface applied Damp Proof Membrane to solve this problem. It is fully compliant with manufacturer's recommendations and guarantees. This is only normally applicable where water damage has occurred or new screeds have been laid.

Smoothing Compounds

Where your sub floors are uneven or need attention to create a smoother finish, we can apply a variety of smoothing compounds overcome the problem. These can be applied to the majority of sub floors and at various thicknesses from 1mm to 30mm.

Grinding

If you have existing finishes such as paint or adhesives on the floors, we can provide a service to remove these to ensure that the new floor finishes comply with all the manufacturer's warranties and that problems do not occur in the future.
